Infrastructure Architect

About the role

The Infrastructure Architect is a senior leader within the Enterprise Architecture function, responsible for defining and driving the organization’s infrastructure strategy across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments. This role ensures that infrastructure platforms are scalable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise infrastructure target state, including principles, standards, patterns, and reference models.
• Design and evolve infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Lead modernization initiatives such as cloud adoption, hybrid architectures, and container platforms.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards and guardrails for consistency and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with application, data, and platform teams to integrate infrastructure services seamlessly.
• Evaluate and select technologies, vendors, and platforms aligned with the enterprise strategy.
• Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, high‑availability design, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Maintain architecture documentation, reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, data residency, and operational requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering/operations, with 5–7 years in architecture roles.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale infrastructure transformation projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, CCNP/CCIE are a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
