Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain, and optimise both cloud and on‑premises environments. The role is fully remote and contract‑based, offering the chance to work with a global technology leader on high‑availability, secure, and scalable systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using AWS, Azure or GCP and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Pulumi.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement improvements to minimise downtime.
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance standards.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise cost, performance and scalability of infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, load balancers and firewalls.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
