Legal Assistant – Corporate Legal Support

About the role

Nysonian Inc. is seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to support its Corporate Legal Counsel. Working night‑shift hours, you will be embedded in a fast‑growing multinational retail group, handling a variety of commercial and trademark matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑pass reviews of incoming contracts, NDAs, vendor and service agreements, flagging non‑standard clauses and missing provisions.
• Prepare concise written summaries of reviewed agreements, focusing on commercial risk.
• Draft routine legal correspondence under supervision and coordinate e‑signature execution.
• Maintain and update the company’s trademark portfolio tracker for USPTO, CIPO, IP Australia, UKIPO, EUIPO, and UAE, including Madrid Protocol filings.
• Calendar renewal deadlines, opposition periods, and filing requirements, providing advance notice to counsel and external law firms.
• Track contract execution status and manage related administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage competing deadlines without hand‑holding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach to shifting priorities.
• Detail‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently within a lean legal function.
