Legal Associate

About the role

The Legal Associate will support the company's legal function by providing timely assistance in contract management, legal research, documentation, and regulatory compliance. This role helps safeguard the company's interests and mitigate legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, format, and maintain commercial agreements, contracts, legal correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and follow up on pending contract reviews.
• Conduct legal research and analyze regulatory, corporate, contractual, and compliance matters.
• Assist in reviewing consultation papers, compiling regulatory data, and preparing responses to policy directives and compliance requirements.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal and administrative support to internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of routine queries.
• Maintain, organize, and update legal records, contracts, case files, and regulatory documentation for accuracy and audit readiness.
• Monitor assigned legal, compliance, and research activities to meet established deadlines.
• Perform special assignments delegated by the line manager in support of legal and regulatory functions.

Required profile

• Law graduate (LLB preferred) with 1–2 years of professional legal experience.
• Prior experience assisting legal counsel or senior attorneys within a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Strong computer literacy, especially proficiency in MS Word for legal drafting and document review.
