Maintenance Engineer – Automation & Production

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and optimisation of the plant’s production line, equipment and automation systems. The role combines hands‑on mechanical and electrical work with digital control expertise to ensure high availability and safety of all assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for production lines, process vessels, rotary equipment, electrical networks and utilities.
• Prioritise and manage vendors, subcontractors and specialist service providers.
• Maintain spare‑part and consumable stores, track maintenance costs and KPIs.
• Lead troubleshooting activities, ensuring compliance with HSE and operational excellence standards.
• Develop, maintain and improve automation and digitisation assets (PLC, HMI, control systems).
• Prepare maintenance data analyses, early equipment management reports and supplier qualification lists.
• Identify staff training needs for equipment care and coordinate training with HR.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of production‑line components such as pumps, vessels and electrical distribution.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with automation systems and industrial control equipment.
• Proficiency in safety procedures for high and low voltage environments.
• Ability to work on‑site, coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
