Planning Engineer – Project Scheduling & SAP Management

About the role

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing, monitoring and controlling project schedules and budgets for DAR Engineering's projects in Pakistan. The role combines project planning, resource allocation and SAP‑based financial control to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using MS Project and Primavera.
• Develop quarterly resource plans and oversee progress meetings.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project data and follow up on meeting minutes.
• Manage SAP activities: budget control, quotation creation, sales orders, project creation, invoice printing, and WBS locking/releasing.
• Report budget status to management and issue alerts when utilization reaches 80% and 90% thresholds.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of planning experience in a consulting or engineering environment.
• Degree in engineering or architecture; professional certifications such as PMP and Primavera are preferred.
• Strong analytical, IT and mathematical abilities.
• Excellent English communication; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
