Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end design, build, and delivery of GenAI/agentic solutions for our clients. The role spans from proof‑of‑concept through production go‑live, requiring deep technical expertise and strong client‑facing communication.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of GenAI/agentic solutions, from architecture to implementation.
• Integrate solutions into client environments, handling authentication, data access, legacy APIs, and governance constraints.
• Adapt the build on‑site as real‑world usage reveals edge cases.
• Debug and resolve production issues directly within the client’s infrastructure.
• Set up monitoring, create handoff documentation, and train client teams.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact during delivery.
• Lead delivery pods for GenAI engagements when appropriate.
• Provide presales support when demand exceeds internal capacity.
• Feed learnings back into estimation and pattern libraries.
• Manage client expectations under shifting scope or timeline pressure.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience shipping production software with hands‑on GenAI/LLM/agentic development.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous designs into working production systems.
• Comfortable acting as the senior technical presence with client engineering teams.
• Resilient under on‑site delivery pressure and visible deadlines.
• Prior forward‑deployed, startup, or embedded‑consulting experience is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development across the GenAI application layer (orchestration, retrieval, integration, deployment).
• Debugging across infrastructure, application code, and model behavior.
• Integration with enterprise systems (SSO, legacy APIs, data governance).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock/Strands Agents, Google Vertex AI.
• Familiarity with open‑source frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
