About the role
The Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) is seeking a full‑time Project Manager to lead a computer‑vision initiative aimed at improving property tax assessments. Based in Lahore, you will coordinate research, technical development, and field testing while collaborating with government partners.
Key responsibilities
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of project rollout, ensuring milestones are met on schedule.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and timelines.
- Identify and resolve risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies proactively.
- Coordinate across research, technical, field, and stakeholder teams to keep activities sequenced and resourced.
- Monitor budget, resources, and timelines, escalating issues with proposed solutions.
- Liaise with the Government of Punjab Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, the Urban Unit, Finance Department, and Planning and Development Department.
- Oversee the randomized controlled trial comparing algorithm‑driven assessments with traditional judgments.
Required profile
- Self‑driven, resourceful individual comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Strong initiative and accountability in a small, high‑performing team.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and deliver high‑quality outputs.
