Quality of Earnings & Financial Due Diligence Specialist (M&A)

About the role

ACE CPAs is seeking a Quality of Earnings and Financial Due Diligence Specialist to lead end‑to‑end QoE engagements for US‑based clients. The role involves analyzing financial statements, building workpapers and drafting reports for buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence engagements for corporate clients, private equity groups and lenders.
• Analyze quality of earnings, EBITDA adjustments, net working capital and cash flows.
• Assess earnings quality, asset values and overall business performance during live transactions.
• Build clean, formula‑driven workpapers using the firm’s QoE templates.
• Draft detailed client‑ready reports summarizing findings, adjustments and transaction risks.
• Present findings to clients and firm leadership.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients, managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal accounting and tax teams via email and Zoom.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, audit or related finance work with direct QoE or FDD engagement experience.
• Hands‑on experience building quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital analyses.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Ability to read and work with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Excellent written and spoken English for client‑ready reporting.
• Availability to work full‑time during US business hours.
