React Native Engineer (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to work remotely on an hourly‑paid basis. You will evaluate AI‑generated React Native code, mobile app architectures, and technical explanations, and produce high‑quality reference implementations and step‑by‑step reasoning for complex engineering problems.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated React Native code, identify issues in rendering, state management, navigation, native‑module integration, platform differences, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, offline behavior, and release practices.
• Create detailed prompts and reference answers to improve AI training on React Native topics.
• Evaluate, rank, and compare multiple AI responses for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Fact‑check technical information and ensure model outputs are safe and reliable for real‑world mobile use cases.
• Write clear explanations and model solutions that demonstrate best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience building production mobile apps, including at least 2 years with React Native.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React (hooks, state‑management patterns, memoization, rendering behavior).
• Hands‑on experience with React Native fundamentals: component patterns, gestures/animations, lists, image handling, deep links, and notifications.
• Experience with navigation libraries (e.g., React Navigation) and managing complex app flows.
• Deep understanding of iOS and Android platform specifics, debugging, profiling, and release issues.
• Familiarity with native integration: bridging, permissions, app lifecycle, CocoaPods, and Gradle.
• Performance‑focused mindset: diagnosing jank, slow renders, large‑list performance, startup time, and bundle size.
• Experience with data and networking: error handling, retries, caching, and offline‑first strategies.
