Regional Executive – Credit (AVP/VP) – Pakistan

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking an experienced Regional Executive – Credit (AVP/VP) to lead credit activities across multiple regions including Multan, Bannu, Gwadar, Gilgit and Jhelum. Reporting to the Credit Hub Head, you will be responsible for assessing, approving and monitoring credit proposals for SME, commercial and agricultural portfolios in both conventional and Islamic banking.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise delegated credit approval authority for SME, commercial and agricultural proposals.
• Analyze credit risk, assess obligor creditworthiness and evaluate collateral against internal policies and SBP Prudential Regulations.
• Manage and develop a team of credit officers within the assigned region.
• Support the Credit Hub Head and Senior Credit Officer with credit reviews, assessments and ongoing monitoring.
• Liaise with business units, CAD, audit and other stakeholders to ensure smooth regional operations.
• Address internal and external audit observations and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure all credit processes are completed within defined turnaround times.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation (preferably a Master’s degree) from a recognized university.
• At least 6 years of banking experience, with a minimum of 4 years in commercial or SME credit and/or risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations and various types of collateral.
• Experience in agricultural lending is an advantage.
