Road and Transportation Engineering Expert

About the role

PITCO is seeking a Road and Transportation Expert to lead the planning, design, and supervision of road and highway projects. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable transport solutions through rigorous engineering and data‑driven analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and route alignment analyses for new road projects.
• Analyse traffic data and develop demand models to support planning decisions.
• Plan and design road networks, interchanges, and intersection improvements.
• Perform geometric design, including horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Design rigid and flexible pavement structures based on traffic loads and soil conditions.
• Develop drainage, culvert, and storm‑water management systems.
• Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with standards such as AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, BS, and NHA.
• Review laboratory test results and verify material quality.
• Recommend and implement pavement rehabilitation and maintenance techniques.
• Carry out traffic impact assessments for new developments.
• Develop transport master plans and mobility strategies.
• Coordinate with surveyors, planners, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience on road and transportation projects.
