Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance

About the role

Leo Science is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead its finance team in Islamabad. The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and internal controls within the Pakistani regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Maintain the general ledger, perform regular account reconciliations and ensure asset accounting accuracy.
• Manage tax compliance activities, including income tax, sales tax and e‑filing with the Federal Board of Revenue.
• Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts to support organizational goals.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes, providing documentation and addressing audit queries.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.
• Utilize ERP systems, QuickBooks, POS invoicing tools and advanced Excel for data management and reporting.
• Prepare financial models to aid strategic planning and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in accounting and finance.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance under Pakistani law.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and regulatory adherence.
