Senior Machine Learning/Data Engineer

About the role

PsychPlus is looking for a Senior Machine Learning/Data Engineer to join its Data/AI/ML team. This hands‑on position covers the full lifecycle of ML models—from research on clinical and operational data to production deployment and ongoing monitoring—within a fast‑growing mental‑health care company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, and ship machine‑learning models on clinical and operational datasets.
• Develop end‑to‑end feature pipelines, training workflows, and deployment mechanisms.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated retraining to detect drift and maintain model performance.
• Create and maintain backend services and APIs that deliver model predictions to the EHR system.
• Explore and clean raw EHR and claims data, documenting data definitions and quality issues.
• Define, implement, and schedule business‑critical metrics for the AI team and company leadership.
• Conduct data analyses to answer operational questions and present insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building and productionizing machine‑learning models, preferably in a healthcare or related domain.
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and API development.
• Ability to work independently in a small team and communicate findings to executive leadership.
• Experience with monitoring model health, detecting drift, and implementing automated remediation.
