Senior Node.js Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our Lahore office on a short‑term contract. You will design, build, and optimise scalable backend services that power real‑time messaging and ad‑management platforms. The role requires close collaboration with product, QA, frontend and mobile teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance Node.js applications using Express or Koa.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and WebSocket/Socket.io communication channels.
• Integrate with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, using Mongoose or Sequelize ORM.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest or Mocha, following a TDD approach.
• Containerise services with Docker and support CI/CD pipelines; basic Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• Monitor, log, and optimise performance, security, and scalability on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Node.js/JavaScript (ES6+) development experience.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality code in contract or freelance settings.
• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.
