Senior Procurement & Vendor Relations Manager

About the role

Trio Café is seeking a senior procurement professional who can overhaul its purchasing function. The role demands aggressive negotiation, direct manufacturer engagement, and the creation of a resilient vendor network to secure better pricing, longer credit terms, and zero stock‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Source ingredients, packaging, equipment and all operational supplies.
• Negotiate 20‑25‑day credit terms and the lowest sustainable market prices with vendors.
• Establish direct purchasing agreements with factories, farms, importers and manufacturers, removing unnecessary middlemen.
• Build and maintain a verified supplier database with at least two to three approved vendors per critical category.
• Monitor supplier quality, reliability, delivery performance and enforce strong purchasing controls.
• Coordinate purchasing needs with café operations, kitchen, finance and inventory teams.
• Prevent overstocking, wastage and emergency purchases through proactive inventory management.
• Visit wholesale markets, factories and warehouses as required to verify orders and relationships.

Required profile

• Proven procurement experience in cafés, restaurants, hotels, FMCG, food manufacturing or hospitality.
• Established network of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and importers, especially in Lahore.
• Demonstrated ability to secure supplier credit and favourable commercial terms.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of inventory, costing, quality control and vendor evaluation.
• High integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve supply issues immediately.
