Senior Purchase Officer

About the role

The Senior Purchase Officer will lead the organisation’s procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods, materials, equipment and services. Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Procurement, the role combines supplier sourcing, negotiation and purchase‑order management while upholding company policies and best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support operational requirements.
• Identify and introduce new suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and competitive pricing.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation.
• Ensure proper approval processes are followed for all purchases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of procurement experience.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP software.
