Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Software Engineer to join a leading technology company’s e‑commerce platform. The position is remote and focuses on building scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a distributed environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best‑practice standards.
• Profile, debug, and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features.

Required profile

• New‑grad or junior‑level candidate with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a cross‑functional team.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges in high‑traffic environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
