About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Area Head of Direct Transport Sales (DTS) to lead our DTS function and drive sustainable commercial growth across the region. Reporting to the Area Head of Sales, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding customer relationships and maximizing utilization of transport and logistics products.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Direct Transport Sales Representatives to meet volume, revenue and profitability targets aligned with the area budget.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to increase market share and product penetration across customer segments.
  • Drive short‑term utilization and performance of transport and logistics offerings.
  • Partner with Sales Finance Business Partners to set targets, incentives and performance measures.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs and asset utilization to identify growth opportunities and translate insights into actionable sales campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Capacity and Campaign Management teams to implement commercial initiatives.
  • Champion customer‑centricity by improving satisfaction scores and Net Promoter Score (NPS) through local initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional and global stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, Product and Supply Chain functions.
  • Support business development by identifying and sharing opportunities across the network.
  • Develop succession pipelines, talent plans and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

  • Proven leadership experience in sales, logistics, transportation or related industries.
  • Strong track record of delivering revenue growth, profitability and commercial targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of customer segments, market dynamics and commercial strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and levels.
  • Strong negotiation, business development and relationship‑management capabilities.
