Demi Chef de Partie / Chef de Partie – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie / Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at Avari Towers Karachi, a 5‑star hotel. The successful candidate will work on‑site full‑time, supporting the preparation, cooking and presentation of high‑quality dishes across our diverse restaurant concepts and banquet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff in executing menus for à la carte outlets, lunch, dinner, banquets and special events.
• Prepare mise en place, portion dishes and ensure consistency of taste and presentation.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, stock monitoring and waste minimisation.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Contribute to the development of new menus and seasonal offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or upscale restaurant kitchens, preferably as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Strong culinary background with a focus on Japanese cuisine.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and event schedules.
• Basic communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
