DevOps Engineer

About the role

Ciklum is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its cross‑functional development team in Pakistan. You will work on building and maintaining cloud‑native infrastructure that powers innovative products for multinational clients and fast‑growing startups.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, EKS, MSK, IAM).
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and manage resource tagging for cost attribution and governance.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to optimise cloud resources for performance, security, and cost.
• Monitor cloud spend, identify savings, and apply FinOps best practices.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and standards such as HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Implement security controls including access management, encryption, and network security.
• Provide on‑call support, incident response, and troubleshooting in the cloud.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Strong knowledge of IaC tools, especially Terraform.
• Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Experience with Kafka (AWS MSK) and cloud cost management.
• Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines for TypeScript, Kotlin, and Ruby.
• Good communication skills for remote collaboration.
