DevOps Engineer

About the role

RocketDevs is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work remotely on client projects that require building and maintaining cloud‑native infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production environments for global products. You will be matched with projects where you own automation, monitoring, and reliability of real‑world production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage scalable Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or CircleCI.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or ELK Stack.
• Ensure security, networking, and reliability best practices across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Develop scripts and tools in Bash, Python or Go to streamline operational tasks.
• Participate in incident response, disaster recovery planning and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Strong Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
• Track record of building production‑grade CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, reverse proxies).
• Ability to share a real production architecture diagram and explain its scale and purpose.
