About the role
The Executive Cloud Planning & Operations role is responsible for planning, designing, operating, securing and monetising enterprise‑grade public cloud services. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Cloud Pre‑Sales & Project Management, the incumbent ensures cloud platforms, service portfolios and related systems meet regulatory, financial and business objectives while delivering high‑availability, scalable and cost‑optimised solutions to internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure and resilient cloud architectures and define migration strategies, deployment models and reference architectures.
- Develop and maintain the public cloud service catalogue, product roadmap and associated SLAs/OLAs.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code, orchestration and automation frameworks; manage provisioning, configuration and lifecycle of compute, storage, networking and security resources.
- Lead 24×7 monitoring, alerting, incident resolution and performance tuning; conduct capacity planning and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Oversee change, release and upgrade cycles following ITIL best practices and manage service‑desk operations for incident, problem and request handling.
- Drive cloud adoption and migration programmes, create onboarding playbooks, workshops and enablement sessions for internal and external customers.
- Govern hybrid and multi‑cloud connectivity, API management, event‑driven integration and service‑mesh architectures; onboard SaaS and marketplace integrations with security validation.
- Define and implement secure cloud controls (IAM, encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, logging); conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and remediation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001/27017/27018, PCI‑DSS, SOC 1‑3 and local regulatory frameworks; maintain audit readiness.
- Design disaster‑recovery architectures, multi‑region failover and backup strategies; run DR drills and validate RPO/RTO.
Required profile
- Proven experience designing, operating and securing enterprise‑grade public cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and financial compliance requirements for cloud environments.
- Hands‑on experience with ITIL‑based change, release and incident management processes.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage 24×7 cloud operations.
