Field Quality Officer – Crop Science

About the role

The Field Quality Officer will ensure product quality and regulatory compliance across all field operations. Working closely with growers and production teams, you will drive high standards throughout the crop production cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular field inspections to assess product quality and adherence to standards.
• Identify, document and report quality issues, non‑conformities and deviations.
• Monitor production processes for compliance with quality control procedures.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings, trends and improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and optimise quality processes.
• Train and support field staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings and corrective actions, ensuring documentation is audit‑ready.
• Evaluate post‑harvest handling processes to preserve product quality from harvest through storage.
• Stay current on industry standards, quality management advancements and post‑harvest technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture (Agronomy, Plant Pathology, or Breeding & Genetics).
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in a business or agricultural setting.
• Proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools.
