Junior Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual & Automated Testing)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Ltd in Islamabad. The role focuses on both manual and automated testing to ensure software applications meet business requirements and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases based on functional specifications.
• Perform manual testing to validate software functionality and non‑functional aspects.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Cypress or Appium.
• Install builds in test environments, troubleshoot issues and support continuous integration pipelines.
• Log defects with detailed reproduction steps and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and the feature team to estimate effort and improve testing processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year experience in QA automation or testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear test cases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.

Required skills

• Programming/scripting: C#, Java, JavaScript.
• Automation tools: Selenium, JMeter, Cypress, Appium.
• Version control: Git.
• Continuous Integration concepts.
• Automated UI testing.
