Legal Expert – AI Data Annotation Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Expert to work remotely on an hourly contract, reviewing and improving AI‑generated legal analyses. You will help train cutting‑edge AI models by evaluating the quality of legal reasoning, spotting issues, fact‑checking citations, and providing clear written feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated legal content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to prompts.
• Identify methodological or doctrinal errors and verify citations and jurisdictional relevance.
• Write detailed explanations, model solutions, and concise feedback for each assessment.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.
• Develop prompts and sample responses to guide AI learning across various legal topics.
• Test AI outputs for potential biases or inaccuracies to ensure model integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (JD/LLB) or higher in Law, Legal Studies, Public Policy or Political Science.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in legal practice, policy analysis or related fields.
• Strong legal reasoning, issue‑spotting, statutory interpretation and case analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail when checking rule statements, citations and logical consistency.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency and ability to write clear, structured feedback.
• Self‑directed, reliable and able to work across time zones in a remote, hourly workflow.
