Remote Attorney & Lawyer Subject Matter Expert (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our remote expert network on an hourly contract basis. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert, reviewing AI‑generated legal responses, creating high‑quality legal content, and providing detailed feedback to improve AI reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content: craft prompts and gold‑standard legal outputs such as issue analyses, drafting examples, checklists, policies, and memos.
• Optimize AI performance: evaluate, rank, and refine AI responses for correctness, clarity, defensibility, and risk awareness.
• Ensure model integrity: test outputs for inaccuracies, over‑confidence, confidentiality risks, and bias; validate reliability across diverse legal scenarios.
• Provide precise written feedback, fact‑check legal concepts and citations, and produce model answers that demonstrate sound legal analysis.

Required profile

• JD/LLB (or equivalent) with active bar membership (or eligibility) in at least one jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of professional legal practice (law firm, in‑house, government, or legal aid).
• Proven ability to spot issues and conduct structured legal analysis (rule → application → conclusion).
• Experience in one or more practice areas such as contracts, employment, privacy, corporate, litigation, IP, real estate, or compliance.
• Strong legal research skills and excellent drafting/editing abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail, C1‑level English proficiency, and self‑directed work ethic.
