Maintenance Officer

About the role

BAT is seeking a Maintenance Officer to optimise machinery performance, minimise downtime and support our goal of building a smokeless world. The role is based in Akora Khattak, Pakistan and involves leading maintenance activities across production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise machinery and equipment performance to minimise downtime.
• Identify issues and implement solutions to prevent efficiency losses.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance and develop standardised processes.
• Educate team members on correct operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Address critical equipment failures promptly and establish KPIs for maintenance.
• Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Required profile

• DAE or B‑Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in production machinery maintenance, troubleshooting and team up‑skilling.
• Self‑motivated leader capable of managing contractual and unionised staff.
• Strong root‑cause analysis skills for recurring losses.
• In‑depth knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety and factory operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, training and presentation abilities.
