About the role
We are looking for an Operations professional to drive sales growth for DSV’s freight forwarding business. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, nurturing existing accounts and expanding our trade lanes across air and sea import services.
Key responsibilities
- Secure new customers and retain/develop existing accounts to achieve sales targets.
- Visit potential and current customers regularly to understand their needs.
- Develop business within assigned trade lanes, increasing route volume based on sales plans and KPIs.
- Identify and expand the targeted customer base and industry segments.
- Generate and convert sales leads into revenue‑generating contracts.
- Maintain timely, professional communication with customers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to execute service contracts and maximise profitability.
- Provide market insights and participate in regular sales meetings.
- Verify customer credit and manage payment collections.
Required profile
- 2‑4 years of field sales experience in the freight forwarding industry.
- Proven experience as an import sales specialist handling air and sea shipments.
- University degree in any discipline.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Good knowledge of IT systems used in logistics sales.
