Senior Construction Project Manager

About the role

Zarrar & Co. is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager in Lahore to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The role involves developing detailed project plans, coordinating resources and ensuring timely execution in line with approved specifications and contractual commitments. The manager leads a team of about 50 people, including Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors and Procurement staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and execution strategies in line with approved drawings, specifications and contract terms.
• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities so progress matches the plan and timelines.
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of around 50 people to achieve project goals.
• Monitor and control project budgets by reviewing expenditures and applying cost-control measures.
• Track milestones and deadlines, identify delays and take corrective action to keep the project on time.
• Ensure work complies with technical specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate procurement with the procurement department to secure materials, equipment and machinery in time.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and clients and resolve issues efficiently.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports covering completed work, pending tasks, challenges and risks.
• Conduct frequent site visits to check progress, evaluate team performance and enforce safety protocols.
• Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, schedules, variation orders and other records.
• Identify and assess risks, technical challenges and resource shortages and act quickly to mitigate them.
• Communicate regularly with senior management and the Director on status, budget, resources and critical issues.
• Oversee the final handover, resolve outstanding issues, verify documentation and complete formal project closure.
