Senior Draftsman

About the role

Delta Design & Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd., a Lahore-based architecture, interior design and engineering firm, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Draftsman to join its design team. The draftsman prepares, reviews and coordinates architectural and technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with architects, designers and project execution teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate architectural drawings, construction documentation and detailed working drawings.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Review drawings for technical accuracy, consistency and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Update drawings to reflect design revisions, client feedback and site requirements.
• Maintain organised drawing sets, revisions and technical documentation.
• Review the work of junior draftsmen and give technical guidance when needed.
• Support the preparation of construction and execution drawings.

Required profile

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional drafting experience, preferably in an architectural or engineering consultancy.
• Solid understanding of architectural plans, sections, elevations, construction details and drawing standards.
• Ability to interpret design concepts and turn them into accurate working drawings.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several drawing packages.
• Previous experience reviewing or guiding junior draftsmen is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong AutoCAD proficiency, including 2D drafting and technical detailing.
• Working knowledge of Revit or other drafting software is an advantage.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
