Senior Software Development Engineer

About the role

Veeam is building a new SaaS platform that powers a suite of enterprise applications for data analytics and AI risk management. As a Senior Software Development Engineer you will join a globally distributed agile team, contributing to the core backend services that enable secure, performant, and scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and architect the core backend platform for the SaaS product.
• Create architecture documents, functional specifications, design documents and developer test plans.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end development, deployment and testing of new features and enhancements.
• Write reliable, secure, high‑performance code and perform thorough code reviews.
• Monitor platform performance, be on‑call for urgent issues, and work with customer support to resolve incidents.
• Integrate new technologies into the cloud infrastructure and evaluate their value.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of professional experience developing with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
• Strong ability to work independently within a distributed team.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with message queues or distributed systems such as Bull/Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS.
