Visiting Lecturer – Pakistan Studies (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Education is seeking a full‑time Visiting Lecturer in Pakistan Studies to join its Dera Ghazi Khan campus. This on‑site position involves delivering high‑quality lectures, preparing course materials, and mentoring students within the university’s established curriculum framework.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and seminars on Pakistan’s history, culture, and related subjects.
• Prepare and update course syllabi, lecture notes, and reading lists.
• Design, administer, and grade assessments in line with departmental standards.
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development initiatives, and research activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Pakistan Studies, History, or a closely related discipline; a Ph.D. is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in Pakistan’s historical and cultural topics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective teaching.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
• Previous teaching experience in higher education is an asset but not mandatory.
