Accountant – Financial Operations

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join BSS, a leading distributor of surgical disposable products and medical consumables in Pakistan. Based in our Lahore office, you will support accurate financial operations and reliable business reporting across procurement, inventory, sales and distribution functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, ledgers and journals using double‑entry accounting.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, prepare invoices, record expenses and manage payment documentation.
• Perform month‑end closing activities, reconciliations and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Review invoices, purchase orders and inventory documents to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales and logistics teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial compliance.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliations and month‑end procedures.
• Understanding of basic Pakistani tax, audit and financial record‑keeping requirements (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and ability to follow‑through on follow‑ups.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external vendors.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, financial reporting).
• Experience with accounting software or enterprise financial systems.
• Accurate data entry and record‑keeping.
