Business Analyst (Remote) - Finance & Accounting

About the role

A remote Business Analyst supports Finance and Accounting initiatives by gathering requirements, documenting processes and analysing data so that reporting, reconciliation and system improvements can be delivered accurately and on time. The role works closely with Finance and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements, and write user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps
• Break down complex processes into actionable work items and document workflows that are clear and testable
• Partner with stakeholders to validate solutions
• Support Agile delivery (backlog, sprints, UAT) and investigate and resolve data and system issues
• Support Finance-related tickets and reporting requests

Required profile

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst
• Experience supporting Finance/Accounting or financial data
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field; Master's is a plus
• Must work aligned to CST hours (until 12 PM CST)

Required skills

• Strong insurance business concepts and working knowledge of GL, AP/AR and financial reporting
• Requirements gathering, process mapping, workflow analysis and stakeholder communication
• Agile and Azure DevOps experience
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills
