Chemical Manager – Quality Control & Validation

About the role

The Chemical Manager will support the Quality Control Manager and the Validation team to ensure seamless laboratory operations, timely product release, and effective problem resolution. This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with testing procedures for finished goods, raw materials, packaging, and in‑process products.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the QC Manager to prevent delays in product availability, new product introductions, and CIP implementation.
• Ensure all physical, chemical, and instrumental testing follows authorized procedures.
• Review daily QC lab planning and support EHS activities.
• Oversee disposition of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging within agreed lead times, reviewing analytical data before final release.
• Provide technical problem‑resolution support to QC staff.
• Drive completion of non‑volume activities such as test method validation, cleaning validation, CSV, training schedules, reference standards, calibration/maintenance, LIR preparation, and ER/CR actions.
• Plan and maintain certification and re‑orientation schedules for analysts.
• Ensure at least annual full‑specification testing for raw materials listed for skip testing.

Required profile

• Science graduate (B.Sc. or M.Sc.); Pharm.D. preferred.
• 5‑6 years of experience in a similar QC/validation role.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
