Executive – Microwave/Digital Radio System Operations

About the role

The Executive will oversee the operation and maintenance of the DRS network infrastructure for PTCL Group in Central Quetta, ensuring reliable service delivery for CMO/Ufone and maintaining high network availability.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain DRS network infrastructure, including DG sets, rectifiers, batteries, AC units, transformers, earthing systems, repeaters, towers, and solar power plants.
• Monitor monthly fuel consumption and CP usage, maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and timely fault rectification, mobilising maintenance teams as required.
• Provision services over DRS for CMO/Ufone and ensure continuous network availability.
• Monitor network performance and report on reliability metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom or a related engineering discipline.
• Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is a plus.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in telecom network operations or maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand network schematics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of reading technical drawings.
• Testing of optical fiber cables.
• Understanding of Pin‑to‑Port plan of FDH.
• Knowledge of access network concepts.
• Knowledge of IP network fundamentals.
