Information Technology System Administrator

About the role

The Information Technology System Administrator will work remotely to maintain, monitor, and optimize Mavra Tech’s IT infrastructure. This full‑time position ensures the stability, security, and performance of servers, operating systems, and network services while supporting internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions.
• Monitor network connectivity, configure devices, and apply basic security settings.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
• Perform regular backups, disaster‑recovery testing, and system restores.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues.
• Document system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
• Collaborate with IT and project teams to support ongoing initiatives and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong background in system administration and IT operations.
• Experience with network administration and basic security configurations.
• Proven technical support and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and cloud services (AWS, Azure) – a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, backup and disaster‑recovery procedures, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft) are advantageous.
