Senior Quality Assurance Tester

About the role

Cognizec Software Solutions is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Tester to ensure that its web and software applications meet high functional, usability, performance, and release‑quality standards. The role is on‑site in Lahore, working the morning shift, and involves close collaboration with development and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review business requirements, technical specifications and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
• Plan and execute manual testing across functional, regression, integration, system, usability and exploratory dimensions.
• Identify, document, prioritize and track defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence and severity.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and stakeholders to investigate issues and verify fixes.
• Participate in sprint planning, refinement, daily coordination, release validation and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Maintain test documentation, prepare quality reports and communicate risks and release readiness.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in manual software quality assurance and structured test execution.
• Ability to interpret requirements and design positive, negative, boundary and end‑to‑end test cases.
• Practical knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, usability and acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, sprint workflows and release validation.
• Capability to analyze logs, reproduce defects, assess risk and communicate technical findings.
• Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of API, browser and device compatibility testing are advantageous.
