Lead Cloud Platform Operations & Capacity

About the role

The Lead – Cloud Platform Operations & Capacity is the senior technical owner for cloud platform operations and capacity within Jazz Enterprise Solutions. This hands‑on role ensures hosted platform services remain available to customers and drives engineering work to expand and modernise the estate.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain platform availability and performance against contractual commitments, managing incidents, problems and changes.
• Plan and govern patching, firmware updates and lifecycle maintenance across compute, storage, backup and virtualization.
• Track and report capacity utilisation, forecast future needs and ensure head‑room for new workloads.
• Lead major virtualization upgrades, storage and compute expansions, including design, testing, cut‑over and rollback.
• Own backup, replication and disaster‑recovery testing, and support audit and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise virtualization, private cloud or data‑centre infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience operating a multi‑tenant cloud platform with availability commitments.
• Experience working with OEM professional services on complex platform projects.
• Methodical approach to change management with documented plans, fallbacks and test evidence.

Required skills

• VMware virtualization (vSphere, vCenter) and related certifications (VCP/VCAP).
• Container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift.
• Enterprise block and object storage, software‑defined storage and backup/replication tools.
• Server hardware lifecycle management, firmware/driver updates and out‑of‑band management.
• Platform networking in multi‑tenant environments, including segmentation and isolation.
• Scripting/automation for operational tasks and familiarity with monitoring and capacity tools.
