Senior Cloud Support Engineer – Platform Migration

About the role

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Cloud Support Engineer to lead platform migration projects and provide top‑tier technical support to customers. The role is onsite in Karachi with a flexible rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver best‑in‑class support via tickets and email, maintaining empathy and meeting SLAs.
• Collaborate in a 24/7 team, working rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Monitor multi‑channel communications and alerts on Slack.
• Assist senior staff with reporting and process improvements.
• Lead and execute migrations of customer sites from various hosting providers to DigitalOcean’s platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting PaaS/cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCE, DigitalOcean, etc.).
• Deep understanding of system and networking concepts with proven troubleshooting skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS).
