Maintenance Manager

About the role

Wärtsilä is looking for a Maintenance Manager in Rawalpindi to manage plant maintenance for an assigned plant and keep it running at maximum efficiency. The role covers planning, coordination, resource optimisation and safety, with a focus on cost-effective, safe work.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the plant at maximum efficiency and manage plant maintenance for the assigned plant.
• Coordinate with the maintenance planner for the safe execution of activities.
• Plan preventive maintenance.
• Implement the contract management process and general management practices safely and cost-effectively.
• Optimise company resources and plan improvements for cost reduction and better use of time.
• Prepare inspection and service reports within the timelines set by the contract.
• Command the team, distribute and control tasks and job orders, and be responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance jobs.
• Ensure safe working practices and zero breakdowns caused by maintenance negligence.

Required profile

• B.E. (Mechanical) with PEC registration.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in an IPP or a similar industry.
• Experience maintaining HFO engines, steam turbines, air compressors, various pumps, heat exchangers and overhead cranes.

Required skills

• Maintenance management and safety and environment knowledge.
• Engine knowledge.
• Electrical knowledge of low, medium and high voltage components.
