Assistant Production Manager - Furniture

About the role

OFFICE First, Pakistan's leading furniture company founded in 1964, offers ergonomic furniture for corporate offices, IT industries, educational institutions, hotels and restaurants. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Assistant Production Manager in Karachi who supports the Production Manager in planning, organizing and supervising daily furniture production so orders are completed on time, within quality standards and to design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with design, procurement and warehouse teams
• Monitor workflow and resource allocation, and resolve production issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Implement safety and quality procedures and assist in continuous process improvements
• Support team training and performance monitoring on the production floor

Required profile

• Experience in production supervision or manufacturing operations, preferably in furniture, interior or related industries
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business or a related field preferred
• Prior experience supervising or leading teams and familiarity with furniture materials and fabrication processes is a plus

Required skills

• Production planning, scheduling and process coordination
• Knowledge of quality control, safety standards and basic lean or continuous improvement principles
• Ability to read design specifications, technical drawings or work orders and turn them into production requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic production management or ERP software for reporting and data tracking
• Effective communication and problem-solving under pressure
