OQC Lab Engineer - Testing and Reliability

About the role

Haier is looking for an OQC Lab Engineer in Lahore, responsible for testing and reliability of finished washing machines. The role involves analysing test data to find failures and recurring defects, producing technical reports with corrective recommendations, coordinating root cause investigations and supporting design validation and customer complaint resolution. It also covers leading daily laboratory operations and training technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily laboratory testing, following standard operating procedures and completing tasks on time.
• Conduct and oversee US3030, reliability, safety, performance, endurance and functional tests of finished washing machines.
• Plan and allocate workloads among five lab technicians and guide them on accurate, efficient testing.
• Analyse test results to identify failures and recurring defects, and prepare detailed technical reports with corrective recommendations.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and NPI teams on root cause analyses, product validation and continuous improvement.
• Support testing for design change validations, engineering change notifications, new component integration and customer complaint resolution.
• Maintain the laboratory equipment inventory, keeping machinery calibrated and health records up to date.
• Document all testing records, failure analyses and verification results, and keep quality management system-controlled documentation for traceability and audits.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports on test outcomes, equipment status and process improvements.
• Train technicians on testing procedures, equipment handling, quality standards and laboratory safety.
• Implement and sustain 5S practices and comply with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
