Part-time On-site Psychiatrist (Pakistan)

About the role

The Healing Lounge Pakistan seeks a part‑time, on‑site Psychiatrist to join its multidisciplinary team. You will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and work closely with therapists, counselors, and a clinical dietitian to deliver integrated mental‑health care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat a wide range of mental‑health conditions.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications while ensuring safety and efficacy.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and document treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychologists, counselors, and dietitians to coordinate holistic care plans.
• Educate clients and families about mental‑health issues and treatment options.
• Participate in case discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical protocols.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in Psychiatry and valid registration with the Pakistani medical council.
• Strong expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and psychopharmacology.
• Excellent therapeutic communication and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Experience in outpatient, tele‑mental‑health, or community psychiatry is highly beneficial.
• Commitment to ethical, trauma‑informed, and culturally sensitive care.
• Proficiency with digital health platforms and electronic medical records.
• Fluency in English and local languages commonly spoken in Pakistan.
