Principal Structural Engineer – Subsea / Pipeline

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer with deep expertise in subsea and pipeline engineering to join our offshore engineering team. The role focuses on advanced structural analysis, finite element modeling, and the design of subsea structures for complex international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and verify advanced FEM simulations using Abaqus for subsea structures.
• Design permanent subsea components such as PLETs, ILS, manifolds, and installation tools.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, structural designs, and technical reports.
• Support conceptual, feasibility, and detailed engineering phases while ensuring compliance with offshore standards.
• Develop procedures for subsea installation activities and provide on‑site engineering support.
• Review fabrication drawings, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and support construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers, review technical documentation, and ensure compliance with class, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore/subsea structural engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Abaqus and FEM analysis.
• Proven experience in offshore structures, pipeline engineering, or subsea projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
