Senior Chief Medical Officer (SCMO) – VP/SVP

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan seeks a senior medical leader to oversee employee health programs, hospital administration and medical governance across its extensive network. Reporting to the Divisional Head of Compensation & Benefits, the Senior Chief Medical Officer (SCMO) will shape health strategy for a large, diversified organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement health policies, crisis response plans and quality assurance frameworks.
• Lead multidisciplinary medical teams and manage healthcare facilities, including emergency services.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with hospitals, healthcare providers and vendors.
• Oversee ERP/SAP‑HCM or other healthcare information systems for efficient service delivery.
• Provide strategic guidance on occupational health, public health initiatives and employee wellness.

Required profile

• MBBS from a PMDC‑recognized institute with valid registration.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Public Health, Hospital Administration or related field.
• Minimum 20 years of post‑graduate experience, including at least 10 years in senior medical management.
• Preferably former Pakistan Armed Forces medical officer (Army, Air Force) with command experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP or SAP‑HCM systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare information systems.
