Senior Database Administrator

About the role

Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Limited, a transportation and infrastructure company operating intercity bus services and infrastructure projects across Pakistan, is hiring a Senior Database Administrator. The role manages and maintains the enterprise database systems, application servers and IT infrastructure. Applications are made by email with an updated CV, and the deadline is 31 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and administer enterprise databases and related application infrastructure.
• Manage Oracle Database 11g, 12c and 19c and Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022, including installation, configuration, upgrades and regular maintenance.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell or shell scripting.
• Configure domains and managed servers, set up and manage server clusters, implement SSL, configure load balancing and support high availability.
• Install, configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle APEX.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on database administration experience.
• Experience with enterprise database environments and database administration responsibilities.

Required skills

• Oracle Database 11g, 12c and 19c; Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022.
• PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell or shell scripting.
• Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle APEX administration.
• SSL, load balancing and high availability concepts.
