Senior UK Finance Manager – Financial Planning & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager with strong hands‑on experience in the UK market to lead financial management, reporting, taxation, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control activities. The role requires independent management of financial operations and delivering insightful analysis to senior management and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee UK financial operations, accounting, reporting and financial control.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, cash‑flow reports and statutory financial reports.
• Manage UK corporate tax, VAT, HMRC compliance and related filings.
• Oversee UK payroll, including PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions and HMRC reporting.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow projections and long‑term financial plans.
• Build advanced financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning and investment decisions.
• Analyse performance, identify trends, risks and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with UK auditors, tax advisors, banks and external consultants.
• Lead, supervise and develop the finance team while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 7–10 years progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior finance management.
• Strong hands‑on UK market experience, especially UK taxation, HMRC compliance and payroll.
• Proven ability to prepare and present financial reports to senior management, investors and board members.
• Experience managing cash flow, working capital, profitability and internal controls.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, SAP or similar accounting platforms.
• Hands‑on with ERP systems such as Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
