Software Engineer – Java, Spring Boot & Database

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with 1–2 years of professional experience to join our backend engineering team in Lahore. The role focuses on building and maintaining Java‑based services, RESTful APIs, and MySQL databases while ensuring reliability and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with Spring MVC.
• Write, optimise, and maintain SQL queries for MySQL databases.
• Manage database schema changes and migrations using Liquibase.
• Implement caching with Redis and asynchronous processing with RabbitMQ.
• Collaborate with Frontend, QA, Mobile, and DevOps teams, participating in code reviews.
• Support Docker‑based deployments and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply secure coding practices with Spring Security and handle logging and exception management.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and REST principles.
• Proficiency with MySQL, SQL query optimisation, and relational database concepts.
• Experience with Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ, and CI/CD workflows.
